It began in 1989 in Dharamgarh, a village outside Sunam, with a single kiln, a stretch of good alluvial clay, and one rule that has never changed. Every brick that left the yard had to be one the family would lay in their own walls.
That rule shaped everything — how the clay is weathered, how long the bricks are fired, how carefully they're sorted before they're stacked. Builders noticed. The ones who ordered once ordered again, because the second load held as true as the first.
Three and a half decades later, Chema bricks still leave the same ground under the Gupta Bricks Co name. The kiln is bigger and the trucks go further, but the standard is exactly where it started.
